NERO will be implementing IP Backbone bandwidth upgrades to 10GigE on
the Corvallis-Eugene and Eugene-Pittock segments and to 2x1GigE on the
Pittock-Corvallis segment during the next regularly scheduled
maintenance window on Monday, November 3, 2008 between 0400-0600.
Unfortunately, the work last weekend and on Monday morning (10/27/2008)
was not able to resolve the 10Gig wavelength issues as anticipated and
additional information will need to be gathered. The planned work for
this maintenance window will implement the tested and working 10GigE
segments and augment the Pittock-Corvallis segment to 2x1GigE. All
traffic is covered by redundant paths and all traffic will re-route
during the maintenance window with minimal, if any, traffic interruption.
