Planned Maintenance: NERO Optical Backbone, 7/14/2008, 0300-0600

Over the next two to three weeks, NERO will be upgrading the NERO 
Optical Backbone equipment to provide for 10G wavelength support.

During this coming Monday, July 14, 2008 between 0300-0600, work will be 
done on the Eugene/Salem/Pittock portion of the optical ring.  All 
transport paths are covered with a redundant circuit and all traffic 
will re-route during the maintenance window with minimal, if any, 
traffic interruption.

Additional notices will be sent regarding the specifics for the second, 
and possibly a third, maintenance window for the remaining segments.
