Planned Maintenance: Corvallis Fiber Maintenance, 2/26/2008-2/27/2008, 2300-0600

NERO will be working with OSU, LS Networks and the City of Corvallis to 
repair a damaged fiber span between the NERO Corvallis Hub at OSU and 
the AT&T POP in Corvallis.  There are two parts to this maintenance 
activity:

1) NERO will be activating a diverse fiber route between the AT&T POP 
and the NERO Corvallis Hub.  On Tuesday evening, February 26, 2008, 
between 2300 and 2330 NERO technicians will be preparing the final 
interconnection and splice case.  Then between 2330 and 2359 NERO will 
break the North facing fiber pair and begin splicing in the diverse 
fiber path, testing the new span and then activating and validating 
service on the new path.  All traffic will be moved to the south facing 
path and then return after service is returned to the North facing path.

2) LS Networks will then perform maintenance activity on the existing 
fiber path to repair a damaged span between 0000 and 0600 on February 
27, 2008.  During this maintenance NERO will move all traffic onto the 
North facing path and re-enable the south facing path when maintenance 
is complete.

Traffic will be moved to minimize disruption in all cases and no actual 
outages are expected.
